Local Law Firm Will Provide Lunch to Publicly Thank Power Crews

Asheville, NC, October 7, 2004 — As Western North Carolina slowly regains its footing following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Frances and Ivan, Asheville-based law firm Grimes & Teich in conjunction with Blossoms at Biltmore Park, will honor the employees of Progress Energy involved in storm response with a special recognition “Power Lunch.”

Power Lunch is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2004, 11:00 am–2:30 pm at Little Pigs BBQ, located at 384 McDowell Street, Asheville. Grimes & Teich will buy lunch for all Progress Energy employees involved in storm response that present their Progress Energy identification. Little Pigs BBQ will remain open to paying customers during the event allowing the citizens of Asheville to share in thanking the men and women who worked tirelessly in terrible conditions to restore power to the community.

“So many people worked long hours to restore normal life to our community after the recent hurricanes. Power Lunch is our law firm’s way to acknowledge the hard work of the Progress Energy employees. It is impossible to buy lunch for everyone but all emergency personnel from the fire and police departments and numerous other organizations also have our thanks and gratitude,” says Henry Teich, one of the law firm’s partners. “We encourage local residents to come out and share in this event to thank the Progress Energy crews who assisted in the extensive power restoration effort.”

Also at the event, local florist Blossoms at Biltmore Park will sponsor a drawing offering the opportunity for two lucky winners to take home gift certificates for a dozen roses.
